Ironhold Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Ironhold Command surprised me because it's a genuinely thoughtful strategy game that doesn't rush you. You build, defend, and plan your expansions at your own pace, and because there's no live multiplayer there's no clock pushing you toward spending.
The campaign has a decent difficulty curve. Early maps teach you the systems, and by the mid-game you're juggling resource routes, terrain bonuses, and unit counters. The interface is dense but it tucks the advanced options away so beginners aren't buried.
I played most of it on a long flight and never missed the internet once. It's a slower, chewier game, best for people who like to sit and think a few turns ahead.
