Tide and Timber

Tide and Timber is my comfort game right now. You wash up on a small island and spend your days fishing, planting, and rebuilding a village one cottage at a time. There's no failure state and no energy timer fighting you, which is exactly what I want from a sim.

The loop is gentle but surprisingly layered. As your island grows you unlock new recipes and tools, and figuring out the most efficient daily routine becomes its own quiet puzzle. The soundtrack is lovely and the art is soft and warm.

It works entirely offline, so I play it before bed with the phone on airplane mode. If you liked slow life sims, this one deserves a spot on your home screen.
